Toronto-based Drone Delivery Canada (DDC) has unveiled its largest and longest-range cargo delivery unmanned aircraft system (UAS), the Condor.The unmanned vertical-takeoff-and-landing aircraft has a payload capacity of 400 pounds and a flight range of up to 120 miles. Powered by a next-generation gas engine, the Condor is 22 feet long, just over five feet wide and seven feet tall. It has a 20-foot wingspan. DDC said its latest UAS has been in development over the past year and pushes the limits in terms of cargo capacity and distance. The company also said it will work with Transport Canada to secure the approvals necessary to begin flight testing during the third quarter this year.
